Vendor Content Policy

This Vendor Content Policy ("Policy") applies to every business account on Dropins ("the Service") and to everything a business posts through it: deals, coupons, events, classes, business details, images, and messages. It supplements the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By switching to a business account or posting as a business, you agree to this Policy.

1. Represent Your Business Accurately

• You may only register a business you own or are authorized to represent. Impersonating another business, brand, or person is prohibited and results in immediate removal.
• Your business name, category, address, website, and contact email must be truthful and current. Business verification checks these details against public listings, and we may re-verify them at any time.
• Mobile businesses (food trucks, pop-ups) must post from where they actually are. Posting a location you are not operating at is prohibited.

2. Deals, Coupons, and Offers

• Every deal you post must be honored as written for the period it is shown. Do not post offers you cannot or will not fulfill.
• Prices, discounts, quantities, and expiration dates must be accurate. Material conditions (minimum purchase, exclusions, limits per customer) must be stated in the deal.
• Bait-and-switch offers, fake "original" prices, and countdown pressure that is not real are prohibited.
• Deals must comply with all laws that apply to your business, including consumer protection, pricing, and advertising rules in your jurisdiction.

3. Events and Classes

• Times, locations, capacity, cost, and skill requirements must be accurate. Cancel or update the listing promptly if plans change.
• You are responsible for the safety of events you host, including venue suitability, supervision, and any permits or insurance your activity requires.
• Attendees join at their own risk under the Terms of Service. Do not describe an activity as safer or more supervised than it is.

4. Prohibited Content

The following may not appear in any business post, image, or profile field:

• Illegal products or services, or promotions that facilitate illegal activity.
• Sexually explicit or adult content, and nudity of any kind.
• Promotion of alcohol, tobacco, vaping, cannabis, gambling, or weapons. Businesses in these categories may list themselves, but deals and events must not feature these products.
• Hate speech, harassment, threats, or content that demeans people based on a protected characteristic.
• Misleading health, fitness, medical, or financial claims.
• Content you do not have the rights to use, including other businesses' logos, photos, or copyrighted material.
• Spam, duplicate listings, keyword stuffing, or posts unrelated to your business.
• Content directed at people under 18. Dropins is an 18+ service.

5. Images and Logos

• You must own or hold a license for every image you upload. Photos of identifiable people require their consent.
• Uploads are screened by automated moderation before they are stored, and may be reviewed by our team. Images that fail screening are rejected without being published.
• Logos must represent your business only. Do not upload logos of brands you do not own to imply a partnership or endorsement.

6. Communications With Customers

• Messages, event chats, and notifications sent through the Service must relate to the deal, event, or class the customer engaged with.
• Do not collect customer contact details through the Service to market to them elsewhere without their clear consent.
• Harassing, pressuring, or repeatedly messaging customers is prohibited.

7. Intellectual Property and Trademarks

Third-party brand names and trademarks may appear only to accurately describe products you actually sell. Using them to suggest an affiliation or endorsement that does not exist is prohibited. Copyright complaints are handled under the DMCA process described in the Terms of Service.

8. Enforcement

We may, at our discretion and without prior notice:

• Remove or hide any post, image, or profile field that violates this Policy.
• Suspend or revoke business verification, which removes your business content from the map.
• Suspend or terminate the associated user account under the Terms of Service.
• Report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities.

Repeat or severe violations result in permanent removal. Fees, credits, or pins spent on removed content are not refunded.

9. Reporting Violations

Anyone can report a business post from within the app. You may also email legal@dropins.io with a link to or description of the content. We review reports and act on confirmed violations, but we do not guarantee a response to every report.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy as the Service evolves. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continuing to post as a business after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
